Dr. Phillip Reemtsma - Veterinarian

Dr. Phillip Reemtsma grew up in Algona, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University where he majored in Animal Science. Phil graduated in May of 1998 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation he moved to DeWitt , where he worked at the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic. He purchased the practice in August of 1998. Phil's focus is on beef cattle including feedlot consulting and embryo transfer.

Phil is married and has two boys. In his spare time he enjoys helping his boys with their 4-H pigs and cattle, watching sports, and managing his cow herd.


Dr. John Kornmann - Veterinarian

John Kornmann, DVM grew up in Ellsworth Wisconsin.  He attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and majored in Dairy Science.  He was then accepted to the University of Wisconsin where he received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2012.  He then moved to DeWitt and joined the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic.

John is married and they have two dogs, Rosco & LuLu.  They enjoy spending time outdoors and socializing with family and friends.   


Dr. John Glispie - Veterinarian

Dr. John Glispie grew up in Le Claire, Iowa and took classes in Animal Science at Iowa State University until he was admitted to the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his DVM in 1996. Following graduation, he practiced companion animal medicine in Virginia and Maryland before returning to the Midwest to work in Wisconsin. John joined the De Witt Veterinary Clinic in October of 2012. Working exclusively with companion animals, his interests include surgery, dentistry and some orthopedic procedures, such as cruciate ligament stabilization. In his free time, John enjoys camping, paintball, renaissance fairs and spending time with his daughter. 043.jpg



Dr. Kelli Ruther - Veterinarian

We would like to welcome Dr. Kelli Ruther to the DeWitt Vet Clinic. She will be specializing in both large & small animal. 

Dr. Kelli Ruther, originally from Clinton, Iowa, attended Iowa State University where she majored in Animal Science. She graduated from Iowa State with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2017 when she then joined the Dewitt Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys working with large animals, small ruminants, and small animals with interests in ophthalmology. 

Kelli is married and they have both a dog and cat, Liam and Fritz. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, running, and traveling with her husband. Kelli is excited to be back in eastern Iowa close to her hometown!


Megan Graves  - Office Manager

Megan joined the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic in 2014. She is a graduate of Northeast High School. She is married with two sons; along with 2 dogs, Chopper, a Chihuahua & Chloe, a Lab Mix. She enjoys spending time with her family & friends. She also enjoys boating & camping during the spring & summer.   024.jpg

Tara Hansen - Certified Veterinary Assistant

Tara joined DeWitt Veterinary Clinic in January of 2010, after working in the Quad Cities for 8 years. After graduating Maquoketa High School she earned her degree in Animal Science and Veterinary Assisting at Kirkwood Community College in the summer of 2003. She is married, with 3 kids, along with her Boxer, Lola & a cat, Gary. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her kids, family and friends. She also enjoys going to Iowa Hawkeye games in the fall and boating in the summer. 040.jpg

Liz Strohbehn - Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

Liz Strohbehn attended Central Community High School until graduation in 2005. She joined the DVC crew in October of 2010. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her friends, spending time with family, and being with her son, daughter & little Yorkie, Ralph.  032.jpg


Ellen Farwell-Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant 

Ellen joined DVC in January of 2013. She graduated from Northeast High School in 2009 and is now taking classes to become a Vet Tech. Ellen loves spending time with her 2 Huskies, Blaze & Zeus and her two cats, Willie, Ruby, and Gidget. She also enjoys fishing, bonfires, riding horses, and traveling.



Phoebe - Clinic Security 

Phoebe is the newest member of the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic, joining us in 2016. She is a spunky kitten who loves attention. Her favorite place to be is in Tara or Dr. Glispie's chairs. She is an absolute joy to have in the office and she is loved by all of us so much already.
